We will have any amazing group of speakers from Rise and Resist, including Sandy Radoff, Julie DeLaurier, Virginia Vitzthum. During the meeting they will touch upon:

  • Why protesting is so important and its effectiveness

  • Tips for beginning protesters

  • Safety concerns

  • Need for marshals

  • Actions that are available now for both individuals and groups to join

Lawyers and allies alike must speak out! This rally is sponsored by The New York
City Bar Association, The New York County Lawyers Association, The New
York Council of Defense Lawyers, and many other New York bar organizations.

We must all must speak out against:

  • Attacking the integrity and independence of judges.

  • Demanding the absolute right to rule unfettered by laws and appropriate limits to authority.

  • Intimidating lawyers and law firms by interfering with their ability to represent their clients, terminating their government contracts, and prohibiting them from entering government buildings.

  • Threatening lawyers so they will not represent certain clients or causes.

  • Firing government lawyers and investigators simply for doing their jobs.

  • Punishing lawyers and law firms without Due Process.
