Membership Meeting Schedule 2025

In 2025, our monthly general meetings will be held on the following dates from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Goddard Riverside Community Center (593 Columbus Ave. at the corner of W 88th Street). Our general meetings are always free and open to all.

  • Thursday, January 9th (on Zoom)

  • Thursday, January 23rd— ( On Zoom) Featured speakers include candidates for NYC Comptroller and candidates for NY City Council Districts 6th and 7th.

  • ** Thursday, January 29th —Special Event— West Side Democrats, Broadway Dems and Columbia University College Dems present: the NYC Mayoral Forum at B’Nai Jeshurun , 257 West 88th Street, 7PM to 9 PM. Will also be live-streamed.

  • Thursday, January 30th— Zoom meeting to Endorse Mayoral Candidate.

    • Also Judicial Delegate nominations

  • Thursday, February 13th—Featured speakers include candidates for Public Advocate and Judicial Delegates endorsements and District Leader endorsements

    West Side Dems General Meeting March 27th

    Main Topic: Addressing the situation for Immigration Rights and Migrant students in local schools.

    Learn about the current situation for your migrant neighbors in the state, city, & on the UWS in these fraught times and hear from people on the ground.  We will have speakers from the New York Civil Liberties Union, the JCC, and D3 Open Arms (a coalition that supports migrant students in our local schools). Learn what we can do to help, as a club & as individuals.  Bring family and friends who are interested.

    Did you know that there are currently 6 propositions on the Ballot in November? We will discuss each of them and how it can impact our community and your life in NYC. You should know, before you vote!!!

    Our presenter is City Council member Gale Brewer. These propositions involve important changes in the City Charter and the relationship between the City Council and the Mayor. Power changes, election changes are all involved.
